The eyes and limb covers are very well done. The bikini (I assume it is such) seems a little oddly risque, but I will assume it is part of the character design. It could perhaps use a somewhat heavier line weight. I like the idea of a mostly invisible character blending into the dark, but the complete lack of edge indication here is troublesome. Firstly, the cat is holding several light sources. While the shadows on the body might fade into the background, the large amounts of light emitted (as seen from the light sources themselves and the light on the body coverings) should make for some rather bright highlights. Additionally, the backdrop of stars should emit some small, but noticeable amount of light. A nice way to depict this would be a gradient that unveils the silhouette of the figure. (say perhaps excepting the feet, which would be the same color as the bottom of the sky gradient) I assume the character is nigh invisible (from the intent of the drawing) by magic or otherwise. However, she wears a costume that is obviously counter purpose to her stealth, as well as the obvious light sources. This puts you in a somewhat tricky situation. A much more subtle uniform (that basically blended in on it's own) might allow for the lack of outline you have. But, as it stands, you would want a more accurate depiction of next gen camo or very dark (light absorbing fur). A touch of highlight (almost completely absorbed, combined with a gradient revealed silhouette would likely give you the feeling you are aiming for. ...hmm not sure this is really a critique? Ignore star values, I do not find them helpful.
Nice buddy! I never expected someone to draw Noir for my birthday! Your gift surely has something unique then >:3
As for the composition and the "concept" of the picture... This is surely something original and interesting. The fact that the black fur of Noir is "lost" in the night to only make appear the rest... That's truly unique mah pal And pretty neat, in fact... this even makes me want to try... something... similar
I think that concept reminds me something I've already seen but I can't put the finger on what exactly. In any cases thank you very much for taking the time to draw this my friend ^^ I love a lot this picture, the concept once again, and your kind attention. This picture really is unique, thanks a lot for this gift and for being yourself.
I got the idea from a shirt a friend of mine was wearing, which had an orange fox blending in to an orange background and all you could see was his eyes, ears, and tail. I would quite like to see your take on the idea!~
