Taruka

'tis Taruka, a character from my Camp Nano novel, Vagrants of the Eternal Blue. She's part fox (though more or less resembles a cat), a skilled hunter and seductress, and carries around a ball of comet rock that lets her tap into the Arcus (the rainbow shinies).

...yeah, maybe I should look into how to draw magic effects. Or read tutorials and such.
Though this was somewhat of a speed-paint attempt in SAI.

So this Taruka character. When she was young, she lived in a forest village of exclusively foxes, near Kavan's village of deer. The two of them often left their villages to explore, and ended up exploring often together around the teenage years, and the two developed feelings for each other. However, her village found out she was doing this, and kept her under constant watch, not permitting her to leave her village until she finished her education. She didn't have a chance to tell this to Kavan, and as such, he got quite concerned when she stopped exploring with him. He sleuthed out her village and tried to talk to her, but she refused, too afraid to get caught, even though she still harbored feelings for him. Kavan was, of course, quite hurt, but he set her aside and continued on. Later, after Kavan became independent and teamed up with Tizana and Render, the three of them encounter Taruka by Starfall Hillcock, north of Grana. She joins them. Hijinks and angst ensue(s). And now you know way too much about this character. :3
