I used the diagrams from Tanteidan Convention volume 7. I took a look at the crease pattern, and from a rough guess, I think the hardest part to intuit about the back legs/thighs is that you have to do a really shallow squash fold bisecting the angle created by the point that turns into the back foot. When you do that, you end up with a flap at the top as a result of the thigh. You can kind-of-sort-of see the creases that were formerly the edge that were then squashed over, flattening those edges and sliding them over to make the thigh.

That probably doesn't help you in the slightest, and at the moment I don't have the time to fold it again, but I hope you get something out of it :3
